This whole thing started right around the Reunion Tour. Before torrent sites became the popular standard for collecting, fans were trading via snail mail with cdr recordings. Better quality shows were being captured with the use of ALD and high quality DATs. The demand for artwork was at it's peak. Fernando a.ka. Monte was an inspiration for me. He was breaking ground by creating excellent artwork for every show of the Reunion Tour. At the time he was using a free web host. You can imagine the traffic he was receiving and in turn there were problems. The site kept getting shut down. At the same time Scorpion Realm and other popular sites were experiencing the same difficulties. As many artwork sites became more and more unstable I began creating covers for myself. I also shared my artwork with other fans until I got to a point where I accumulated enough covers to warrant a website. So, began the birth of Fanatic Records, a non-profit artwork site created specifically for Bruce Springsteen fans.
